THE CULTURAL COUNCIL

Our school cultural council presents very good programmes every year. Founder’s day and Valedictory Day, Sports day and Annual Day are celebrated in a good manner. Various National Functions like Republic Day, Independence Day, Teachers Day and Children’s Day Vijayadasami and Pongal are being celebrated in the school. The Cultural Council organises various competitions. The girls also participate in inter school competitions. Thus this cultural council has evoked aesthetic feelings, brings out students innate talents.

LIBRARY

The School has a good library with nearly 6500 books. Pupils are encouraged to borrow books from the library and read them at home for improving their knowledge and to develop the reading habit. We hope to buy more valuable books in future. One of the teachers is incharge of issuing books to pupils and teachers. The teachers are using the library very often. Loss (or) damage caused to library books should be borne by the readers.

Atal Tinkering Laboratories :

In the Academic year 2018 by “NITI AUYOG”, Central

 Government has selected our school to implement ATL Lab.

Aim of ATL:

With a vision to “Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric   Innovators”,  Atal   Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in school across India.The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.

 ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

Smart Class :

Smart class was introduced in 2015. It is a knowledge center with 3 smart boards. Extra marks learning application is installed where the material exactly mapped to meet the specific objectives of all the classes from VI-XII standard. Various topics from student curriculum are converted into animation, so that the students can relate to the visuals, thereby helping them to remember and retain knowledge.

GENERAL RULES OF THE SCHOOL

  1. Parents are requested to read the rules and regulations of the School.
  2. Parents have to attend the academic meeting and open day compulsorily
  3. Parents  should  attend the open day of  each  term compulsorily or whenever they are called.
  4. Parents  may  not  enter the  classroom or consult  the teacher during class hours.
  5. Parents may meet the HM on any working day between 3.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m.
  6. Parents are earnestly requested to see that their children attend school punctually.
  7. Parents should check the diaries regularly and note the teachers remark.
  8. Parents will please ensure that their children attend the school on time, in the correct uniform and with all books. Parents are requested to provide the lunch regularly to their wards.
  9. Parents are asked to encourage their children to attend the School regularly.
  10. Parents are requested to observe the rules and regulations of the School and maintain the decorum of the institution. Discipline must be maintained throughout in the School.Be punctual to School.
  11. Students should attend the special classes regularly in full uniform.
  12. During School hours students will not be allowed to leave the class without permission.
  13. During class hours avoid whispering or interrupting. Attendance is compulsory for the promotion to the next class.
  14. Students are asked to use the toilet in proper way and keep the school campus neat and clean.
  15. Every students must wear neat and full uniform regularly.
  16. It is compulsory for students to bring the school calendar daily.
  17. Students are expected to converse in a polite manner. Students should not wear any kind of jewellery or bring much money to School.
  18. The school does not take responsibility for money (or) articles that are lost.
  19. Act of indiscipline, disobedience , disrespect to the staff and any kind of cheating (or) serious misbehaviour even outside the school will be viewed seriously.
  20. Nail Polish, Long Nails, Mehendi, Tattoos are not allowed. The School gates will be closed at 8.50 a.m. No late comers will be allowed to enter the school.
  21. Students must understand that time is precious and use it wisely.
  22. Absentees and  late  comers  should  meet   the Headmistress along with parent the next day without fail. Non-Vegetarian  food  in  School  Campus  is  Strictly Prohibited.
  23. Students should conduct themselves in and outside the class in a decent and disciplined manner always keeping in mind that the School is theirs, and that they should safeguard to promote its fair name and reputation.
  24. For every 15 days, the cycle test will be conducted for the classes 10,11 & 12. The progress will be monitored and maintained.
